Effective Date: 2026-07-08
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of Recall (“Recall,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), provided by Inseong Paik. By using Recall, you agree to these Terms.
Recall is a vocabulary learning app that helps you create, store, review, and practice vocabulary using spaced repetition, AI-assisted features (including extracting vocabulary from photos you provide), notifications, and optional cloud sync.
You must be legally able to use Recall and to agree to these Terms. If you use Recall on behalf of another person or organization, you represent that you have authority to do so.
You sign in with Apple. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple account and device, and for activity under your account.
We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use Recall in accordance with these Terms and Apple’s applicable terms. You may not:
You retain ownership of the vocabulary text, images, notes, and other content you submit to Recall. You grant Recall a limited license to process your content only as needed to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the app — including AI-based extraction from images, AI features, cloud sync, review scheduling, and support. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload or process content in Recall.
Recall may generate examples, explanations, quizzes, translations, or feedback using AI or automated systems. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your specific goal. You should review important outputs and not rely on Recall as the sole source for academic, professional, medical, legal, or safety-critical decisions. Recall does not guarantee any specific test score, proficiency level, academic result, or learning outcome.
Recall offers auto-renewable subscriptions (Recall Plus and Recall Pro). Subscription purchases are billed through your Apple ID account and managed by Apple. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings. Current benefits, prices, and durations are shown in the app before purchase. See our Subscription Terms.
Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple according to Apple’s refund policies and applicable law. Recall does not directly process App Store refunds. If Apple approves a refund, Recall may revoke or adjust access to the related paid features.
You can delete your account in the app at Settings › Account › Delete Account. Deleting your account deletes your Recall account data and associated personal information, except for limited records we may retain where required or permitted by law. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your App Store subscription. See Account & Data Deletion.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and may impose reasonable limits to protect service reliability, security, or cost.
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, abuse the service, create legal risk, or attempt to bypass payment or security systems.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use information. By using Recall, you agree to the Privacy Policy.
If you downloaded Recall from the App Store, Apple is not responsible for providing support or maintenance for Recall. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Recall is provided “as is” and “as available.” We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or learning outcomes. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some may not apply to you.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, notify you.
